Telling Tales with Typography

The brief was to visualise the story of Little Red Riding Hood through typography.
Inspired by image-making and visual representations with type, I intended for this to be read by mature readers who would let their imagination work though following the lines of text that went from a casual skim to picturing sounds or suspense within the narrative using connotations.
Doing this helped to cue personality, and a contrast between both the story and the characters. The darker, and minimalistic direction was inspired by the ongoing trend of fairytales in recent media being portrayed as dark and gritty instead of being lighthearted.
